2010 FDOT Best in Construction - Alternative Contracting

FDOT’s first attempt at Design/Build/Finance was this $430 million project for 31 miles of six lane construction along the I-75 corridor between Naples and Ft. Meyers. Leware’s involvement consisted of widening ten sets of bridges and complete replacement at two additional sites. As many as eight sites were under construction at any given time until completion of the project over 1 year ahead of the original contract time.
